Vancouverite fashion designer Malene Grotrian creates timeless pieces with contrasting fabrics and textures. Her passion for evening-wear has created unique dresses, jackets, skirts— and of course, bustiers. But that is not all she makes. She has a day-wear line of fantastic dresses, pants, jackets and tops. Her clothing is exquisite and makes everybody look great.

In November 2008, Malene was invited to participate in Vancouver Fashion Week where she showcased her line. She was the only designer to receive a standing ovation. Her collection looked great and I was so proud to see the models strut their stuff in her clothes.

My first experience with this designer was a lot of fun. I tried on many garments and walked away with a fabulous gown to wear to a gala event. Since then I have been back to see Malene and have purchased some gorgeous items that I just love. I look forward to wearing the clothes that were made just for me and I must say, I look great in them!

I am looking forward to seeing her new line for Spring/Summer 2010 which will be unveiled at New York Fashion Week next month. I wish I could go, it will be very exciting.
