Fiji Water & Fresh Magazine, for all of our Guests to enjoy at “A Modern Classic”

Fresh Vancouver Magazine is the Lower Mainland’s only anti-aging, beauty and lifestyle publication. Our focus is the healthy, happy, beautiful woman – inside and out. To some that might mean Botox; to others it could include non-invasive body contouring or tummy tucks; while to others it could involve meditation and healthy eating. On the cover of each issue you will find a prominent woman from our fair city, someone who has influenced us all in her particular way, as a media icon who entertains and informs, a philanthropist who supports our community, a musician, actor or political figure who inspires and teaches. Expert advice, spa getaways, women’s empowerment and more: it’s a fresh new approach to looking and feeling your absolute best at any stage of life. The magazine launched in May 2010 and is published six times per year. Learn more about Fresh here: http://www.freshvancouver.com/

FIJI Water, the world’s finest water, is committed to quality and excellence in our product, people, profitability, and strategic partners. “We are dedicated to communicating the passion and unique properties of our brand to consumers worldwide and continuing to invest in the future while preserving and cherishing the pristine source.”

FIJI Water’s uncontaminated, uncompromised, and untouched water from an artesian spring, bottled at the source in Fiji. By definition, artesian water comes from a source deep within the earth, protected by layers of clay and rock. There is no opening, not even a porthole to the surface. As a result, the water never comes into contact with the air, protecting it from environmental pollutants and other contamination, keeping FIJI Water as pure as its natural artesian source. Of the top ten bottled waters sold in the United States, FIJI Water is the only water originating from an artesian source.

The company is committed to a variety of sustainability practices and is the primary driver of economic development and social welfare in Fiji.  FIJI Water reinvests substantial resources to expand access to clean, safe drinking water and to provide quality education and health care for the people in Fiji. As the first net carbon-negative product in its industry, FIJI Water is reducing carbon emissions across the product’s entire lifecycle and offsetting at least 120% of remaining emissions through a rainforest restoration project in the Fiji Islands. As of December 2009, FIJI Water joined 1% for the Planet, a global alliance of businesses that donate at least 1% of their sales directly to non-profit organizations focused on sustainability.  The company has also embarked on an extensive reforestation program in partnership with Conservation International and the people of Fiji to protect and preserve the Sovi Basin, the largest remaining lowland rainforest in the South Pacific.

it’s to die for banana bread – Official Treat Supplier for VIP Gift Bags

Our VIP Guests will enjoy its to die for banana bread in their Gift Bags at “A Modern Classic” fashion event!  The talent and beauty behind this mouthwatering creation is Erin Ireland.  Here is a clip from her website’s bio:

“I’m the food reporter and  lover of cuisine who aspires to spend the rest of her life eating all that’s to die for. You’ll find my column, Lunch Rush, in Metro Newspaper’s Tuesday edition, and my bi-monthly to die for face feature in Vancouver View Magazine.

A summer spent living on a rustic Tuscan horse farm experiencing the powers of extra virgin olive oil, red wine, and homemade chocolate gelato has been one of my most exquisite culinary practicums.

Known to evoke my ‘it’s to die for’ cry: sablefish, macadamia nuts, white chocolate, braised lamb, ponzu sauce, sashimi, and more…

If you believe your restaurant’s fare to be to die for, email me at erin@itstodie4.com. I’ll add it to my list of impending feeds.

Find me at Commune Cafe & Ethical Bean Coffee Roastery Cafe. I’m putting Vancouver on the banana bread map of the world. You can call me BB! Taste my sweet saltiness at Commune Cafe & Ethical Bean Coffee Roastery Cafe.”

Introducing Beatrice King and Fall/Holiday 2010!

Beatrice King

Actress and model Beatrice King is the beauty behind showcasing the upcoming Fall/Holiday 2010 Collection from Malene Grotrian Design. The stunning Alberta native is a rising start that has been featured in several Hollywood films including X-Men Origins- Wolverine and most recently she  has gained incredible exposure from the latest Coke Zero International television commercial.

The Fall/Holiday 2010 Collection from Malene Grotrian Designs centres itself on the elements of ice and water, featuring structured tailoring that focuses on creating an hourglass silhouette. Beatrice’s smouldering dark eyes play off the steel greys, earthy browns, silvers and blacks of the collection. The catalogue for this latest collection drapes Beatrice in delicate silk Charmeuse, light wool suiting, luxurious Italian Silk Jacquards, Raw silk, textured knits and virgin wool garments. Keep a look out for the upcoming launch of the Fall/Holiday 2010 collection and possibly seeing Beatrice on the catwalk.

The outcome of the amazing catalogue can be attributed to Toranj Kayvon  of Toranj Kayvon Photography for capturing the moment, Caylee Wasilenk from Hype Hair Studio for creating 1940s hair magic and Abby Jayne Black for bringing together the makeup look to portray the feel of Malenes collection. A very special thank you goes out to FMA Entertainment Weekly for coming onsite to interview Malene on the sailboat during the shoot! They really got a feel for the icy, cool water theme. Be sure to check out the website for details on the upcoming Ice Water Fashion Event on April 29th!

PR Launching New Collection

Internationally Acclaimed Designer Chooses Vancouver to Launch New Collection

Malene Grotrian unveils her Fall/Holiday 2010 Collection at a one of a kind Fashion Event
VANCOUVER BC (April 8 2010)
– Malene Grotrian Design will launch the highly anticipated Fall/Holiday 2010 collection at the Ice Water Fashion Event exclusively in Vancouver. An evening of dramatic theatrical performances, fashion and many more special surprises at the venue District 319 on Thursday, April 29th.

Since the inception of the label in December 2008, Danish born fashion designer Malene Grotrian has been making her mark in the fashion industry. The only Canadian Designer to launch their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection at New York Fashion Week, Malene has chosen Vancouver to unveil her Fall/Holiday 2010 collection to her loyal clients, fans, friends and fashion enthusiasts. The collection was inspired by Vancouver’s own weather patterns and features elements of water and ice in the fabrics and colour palette.

“For this collection I was inspired by the element of water, something Vancouver is very familiar with because of our rainy weather,” remarks Grotrian. “It was woven in with various textures to create a cool, shiny look.” Grotrian also wanted to focus on her skillful mastery of the hourglass silhouette which is shown throughout the collection. “The clothes are tailored to cinch at the waist and enhance a woman’s natural curves, instead of hiding them. We want to celebrate the female form.”

The collection campaign features the stunning model, actress and rising star, Beatrice King, who has been featured in X-Men Origins: Wolverine with renowned actor, Hugh Jackman and most recently an international Coke Zero commercial receiving a lot of media attention. Beatrice is also expected to be the leading model for the upcoming Ice Water Fashion Event.

Guests will be treated to a couture fashion show, exciting theatrical performances, a chocolate couture creation, red carpet arrival and each guest will also walk away with a special gift bag containing a limited edition Malene Grotrian Design surprise and many more goodies.

As a stylish and replenishing must-have for models, designers and celebrities, FIJI Water is proud to be supporting Malene Grotrian and her Fall/Holiday 2010 Collection. FIJI Water is one of the fastest-growing brands worldwide known for its refreshing taste and soft mouth feel. A product of one of the last virgin ecosystems on the planet, FIJI Water is committed to sustainable development.
