this years CampOUT event was a huge success! Over $75,000 was raised which ensures 60 LGBT kids form all around the province will get to attend the special four day summer camp in July.

CampOUT is entering its fourth year and continues to be a unique and empowering leadership experience for queer, trans, and allied youth in the province of BC.  Each year, CampOUT offers a nurturing and strengths-based environment that values diversity, builds self esteem, and fosters hope and resilience. CampOUT is about being accepted for who you are, learning to take risks in a safe space, and building the confidence to take on leadership roles in the community. CampOUT opens up space to take on new ways of being and try ideas, ways of coping, and personalities that seems less possible in the world outside of camp. CampOUT youth and cabin leaders are more likely to participate in community groups, take on leadership roles in youth organizations, seek different roles in university and high school based groups, and are more likely to apply for positions of responsibility because of their time at Camp.
